Compare 1 Laptops with Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100
The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 was launched in 2024 as a mobile processor designed for both everyday tasks and demanding applications in mobile devices.
Technical data and performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100
The Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 is based on the latest ARM architecture and has twelve cores that can process twelve threads simultaneously. The processor is equipped with a rather generous 42MB L3 cache, which gives it an advantage in the fast data processing of frequently used applications. Like its sister model, the X1E-78-100, the X1E-80-100 is also manufactured using the 4nm process, which contributes to high energy efficiency. Depending on the load, power consumption is in the range of 12 to 80 watts, which makes the processor particularly attractive for mobile end devices. The maximum clock rate of the X1E-80-100 reaches up to 4 GHz in dual-core boost mode and therefore offers sufficient computing power to handle more challenging tasks such as image and video editing.
Compared to other mobile processors, such as the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 offers higher efficiency, especially in terms of battery life. While the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is based on the x86 design and offers solid performance for multitasking and intensive applications, the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 is characterized by an ARM architecture that is optimized for longer runtimes. With battery runtimes of over 20 hours in typical laptop scenarios, the Qualcomm processor clearly outperforms many of its competitors in this respect, which should make it attractive for use in student notebooks and multimedia notebooks, for example.
Integrated graphics unit and additional functions
The Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 is equipped with a Qualcomm Adreno X1-85, which delivers 3.8 TFLOPS and clocks at up to 1.25 GHz. Although the integrated graphics card is compatible with DirectX 12, it does not support "Ultimate" to its full extent. Compared to the integrated Intel Arc iGPU of the Core Ultra 7 155H, the Adreno X1-85 offers weaker performance with similar power consumption and is more focused on supporting ARM-optimized applications and mobile devices - the compatibility of games under ARM is a challenge, which can affect performance when using emulated applications.
A special feature of the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 is the integration of advanced AI functions specializing in machine learning and artificial intelligence. These AI engines help to speed up demanding computing tasks and increase efficiency, similar to other latest generation processors. Shortly after its market launch, the processor became very popular in notebooks with Windows 11 and the integrated Copilot+. With its efficiency-enhancing capabilities, it should also be well suited to convertibles and business notebooks.
