1. Scope

These Terms apply to the use of www.your-perfect-laptop.co.uk (the "Website"), operated by Notebookinfo.de GmbH ("we", "us"). By using the Website you accept these Terms.

2. What we provide / our role

We provide an information and comparison service for laptops and IT products, free of charge. We do not sell products ourselves. If you click an offer, you are redirected to the relevant partner retailer. Any purchase contract is concluded solely between you and that retailer, subject to that retailer’s terms.

3. Partner retailers, market coverage and commission

We show offers from partner retailers with whom we have a commission agreement, directly or through affiliate networks. We do not necessarily cover the whole market or the full range of any partner retailer. For referring you to a partner retailer and for purchases made there we receive a payment, depending on the retailer as a commission on the purchase price, an amount per referral, or both (together "commission"). It has no effect on the price you pay at the retailer. Paid placements and advertising space are separate from the sort order and labelled "Ad".

4. Order of laptops

4.1 The default sort of every list is "Recommended" and is calculated automatically. Its main parameters are (a) popularity: how often a laptop was recently referred to a partner retailer; (b) purchases: how often referrals to a retailer in the relevant price range lead to a purchase; (c) commission: the payment agreed with the retailer under section 3. Popularity carries slightly more weight than purchases and commission together. Where popularity is similar, an offer with a higher commission appears further up. Laptops whose expected commission is below a fixed minimum are placed after the other available laptops.

4.2 Rankings and highlights based on the default sort (such as "Top 10", "Top 3", "#1 Laptop", "Top Model Ranges", "Top Series") follow the same parameters. Sections headed "Popular" (such as processors and graphics cards) are based on click and view counts only, not on commission.

4.3 All other options in a list's sort menu, the price comparison on product pages (by price) and the search are not affected by commission. No partner retailer can buy a position. The default sort is the same for all users. Details: www.your-perfect-laptop.co.uk/how-we-sort.

5. Prices, availability and accuracy

Prices/availability are supplied by third-party retailers and may change. We update information regularly where possible, but delays can occur. The retailer’s website is always decisive at the time of purchase.

6. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from third-party retailer data (pricing/availability) except where caused by our breach of legal obligations.

7. Intellectual property / prohibited automated access

Website content is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, scrape, systematically extract data, or interfere with the Website (including via bots/crawlers) without our prior written consent.

8. Changes

We may change the Website and update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Website.

9. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

We are not obliged and do not undertake to participate in ADR proceedings before a consumer ADR body.
