Description

AMD Ryzen 3 5300U - Hyperthreading as an innovation
Like its predecessor, the AMD Ryzen 3 4300U, the AMD Ryzen 3 5300U is based on the Zen 2 architecture and has four cores with a base clock speed of 2.6 GHz. It also has a hyperthreading function, which distinguishes it from its predecessor. This means that the AMD Ryzen 3 5300U can calculate on up to 8 virtual threads and clock at up to 3.8 GHz in turbo mode.
The 7nm manufacturing process that continues to be used, as well as the configurable TDP of 10 - 25 watts, allows installation in small and lightweight notebooks.

Light notebooks - light tasks
As the AMD Ryzen 3 5300U hardly differs from its predecessor apart from the hyperthreading function, it has become more powerful for multi-core tasks in particular and less so for single-core tasks.
An AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 GPU is integrated into the processor, which operates at 1500 MHz. Everyday office and web tasks are therefore no problem. Less demanding games, such as League of Legends, are also no problem. However, current titles are not within its working range.
The AMD Ryzen 5 5300U is not offered in combination with dedicated graphics cards, as more demanding games are not within its performance range. With the integrated GPU, the processor can be found in the Lenovo ThinkPad E14 G3 series, among others.
The AMD Ryzen 3 5300U is ideally equipped for fast and mobile work, which is limited to non-graphically demanding tasks. It is therefore well suited for light and simple office notebooks. For more demanding tasks, one of the faster big brothers, such as the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U or the AMD Ryzen 5 5700U, is recommended.
